the first light breaks through the window
the furniture wakes the coffee pot
God answers a few quick texts
then opens up the blessings for business

we are given enough yeast to bake our daily bread
the birds should take more selfies with the clouds
but when you are singing & floating
who has time to charge their phone

lifted
gifted
and grateful

Right on Time God
in the right time to rite my wrongs
& bestow grace on my secret places

Our Father who art in heaven
hollowed be thy name
thy kingdom has come to this
foolishness of the flesh
sometimes I worry
you may have to climb the cross again
for these unrepentant sinners
but I know your image from promotional photos
and which way the wind blows
the smoke from the fires still burning
